The Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the university. The Provost is responsible for all aspects of the university's academic mission, including the intellectual environment for faculty, students and staff, and planning, budgeting, supervising, and reviewing programs in resident instruction, research, and continuing education. The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs also serves as a communication link with external constituencies, such as the Board of Regents, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Texas Education Agency, Texas Legislature, Governor's Office, Legislative Budget Board, and various accrediting agencies
Texas A&M Information Technology works with students, faculty and staff to provide IT services and resources that support the education, research and service missions of Texas A&M University.

Public Partnership & Outreach in the Office of the Provost provides services to enhance the relationships, outreach, and scholarly engagement of faculty, departments, and colleges, as well as the Division of Academic Affairs.
Our experienced staff facilitates collaborative outreach to the public and various constituent communities with the goal of strengthening Texas A&M University’s service to the citizens of Texas. Our goal is to provide advice and support for the design and assessment of outreach programs, protocol, communication, event management, and partnership services.
The Mission of the Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Diversity is to facilitate, coordinate, advance, amplify, inform, and monitor the University and its many units as we develop our strength in - and evidence of - respect for diversity. Our services include oversight of the implementation and monitoring of the University Diversity Plan, faculty mediation services, support for faculty and staff networks, and the Difficult Dialogues Program.
The Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) serves as the primary administrative body and overarching source of information for graduate education at Texas A&M. OGS supports graduate students from recruitment through degree completion, and advocates for continual improvement in the administration of graduate programs and services across the institution.
We facilitate the following services: graduate records maintenance, graduate advisor training, recruiting, retention support, university fellowships and graduate student awards, professional development workshops, preparation support and review of electronic theses and dissertations, ombudsperson consultation, interdisciplinary student support, and dual enrollment student support. OGS also facilitates the Graduate Appeals Panel.
Undergraduate Studies fosters excellence in undergraduate academics at Texas A&M University. Under the oversight of the Office of the Associate Provost, several reporting offices are charged with developing and supporting successful learning experiences for students and providing campus leadership in engaged and integrated academic programs for undergraduates. Our goal is to support academic departments and programs in producing knowledgeable lifelong learners capable of navigating a complex and interconnected world in a socially and ethically responsible manner.
The Office of the Associate Vice President for Operations facilitates the following services.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs provides support and oversight for academic effectiveness, including assessment; high-impact educational experiences; and accountability efforts, including legislative initiatives. Within these broad areas, reporting units facilitate the following services: high-impact practices for students, global support services, academic program reviews, honor code violations, and academic assessment.
In support of the academic colleges, Academic Services provides the academic services (outside the classroom) and resources necessary for students, both undergraduate and graduate, to apply, enroll, pay, graduate, and transition to careers from Texas A&M University. In addition, Academic Services is dedicated to ensuring effective and efficient processes, accurate and timely reporting, and quality services for students, faculty and staff. The primary functions include recruitment, admission, registration and records, curricular services, scholarships, financial aid, veteran services, career center, international and sponsored student services, data and research services, testing and evaluation, and IT Support for non-college units reporting to the Provost.
The Associate Vice President is the primary university liaison with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The Office of the Dean of Faculties and Associate Provost strives to achieve and preserve a university environment in which faculty feel inspired and enabled to reach their full potential. This office facilitates and observes fairness and equity in the recruitment, evaluation and advancement of faculty and academic administrators. The Office of the Dean of Faculties and Associate Provost is committed to academic freedom, shared governance, excellence, and the common good.
As Associate Vice President for Administration and Academic Affairs, Ms. McConnell advises the provost and other academic affairs personnel on legal, procedural, contractual and regulatory issues within the Division of Academic Affairs. In partnership with the Dwight Look College of Engineering, she focuses considerable time and effort to ongoing management of the teaching and research contracts that guide Texas A&M at Qatar operations, as well as contractual relationships with other out of country programs, including those in Costa Rica and Mexico.
She is the primary coordinator of policy, rule and regulation review for the Office of the Provost, and provides support related to grievances, legislation analysis and issues management processes. She oversees the processing of academic documents for the Board of Regents, and supports both the Associate Vice President for Academic Services and Vice Provost with reporting to Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), respectively.
