The Athletics Task Force was created by President Loftin to consider a need for a 14th imperative as part of the Vision 2020 document for Texas A&M University. The key elements addressed by the Task Force were: (1) the appropriate vision for creating a culture of excellence for Texas A&M University Athletics by 2020, (2) the role of the student athlete at Texas A&M University, (3) a comparison of our athletics program with the top public universities in the country, and (4) an examination of the financial operations within the Athletics Department.
