Fall 2020 Updates
Published on Mon 08/10/20
Dear Texas A&M College Station Students:
Welcome back! We have definitely missed you.
As you know, this fall will look very different. We have made significant adjustments to enhance safety in and out of the classroom. Please know that the first few days will not be without challenges, so I ask for your patience. Aggies always rise to the challenge, and I’m grateful for your help as we move forward.
Here are a few updates and reminders:
Don’t forget that face coverings are required on campus. Those with exemptions should carry your official letter from the university with you. Please consult the
policy
and the
FAQ
if you have questions.
Final exam schedules are now available
here
.
While most academic advising will be virtual this year, each unit will provide face-to-face consultations (with enhanced safety measures) one day each week. You will hear from them on their availability.
Next week, we will send out a new absence form for you to use if you are ill. This form will automatically be emailed to your instructors.
COVID-19 tests may be scheduled
here
and are administered at the A.P. Beutel Health Center.
To report a COVID-19 exposure, diagnosis, or symptoms, please submit the information
here
. The university released
reporting guidance
last week.
Please continue maintaining physical distancing, wearing face covering, washing hands, staying home if you feel ill, and answering phone calls from the contact tracers and following their instructions to self-isolate or get a COVID-19 test, as needed.
I wish you all the best as you finish up your preparation for fall!
Sincerely,
Carol A. Fierke
Provost & Executive Vice President
